Barfi Nominated for Oscars.

” Barfi”, is India’s official entry in ‘foreign film category’ at the Oscars. The movie, released on September 14, was made at a budget of Rs 30 crore.
The Movie made with a Small budget was appreciated worldwide . Ranbir Kapoor’s Back to back hits followed by Rockstar has made him enter the 100 crore list.

It minted Rs 34.6 crore during the weekend, and amassed a total of Rs 58.6 crore over the week – September 14 (Rs 9.2 crore), September 15 (Rs 11.5 crore), September 16 (Rs 13.9 crore), September 17 (Rs 6.5 crore), September 18 (Rs 6 crore), September 19 (Rs 7.25 crore) and September 20 (Rs 4.25 crore).

The film, about love between differently-abled — a deaf and mute boy and an autistic girl — opened in approximately 700 screens in India, September 14.

Story:
If you have seen Madhur Bhandarkar’s Previous Movies , Well then this Movie wont amaze you . Its a mixture of Fashion and the Lights of Page 3.Story stars with Mahi ( Kareena ) Who is an aspiring bollywood actress and every celeb wants to work with Her . Mahi Falls in Love with Aryan Khanna ( Arjun Rampal ) who is getting through divorce . Mahi wants to Marry Aryan but aryan was not ready with it and even did not accept their relationship in Public.
Mahi then seeks psychiatric treatment and tries to straighten her career and her life. She then fights with a star wife at a party and Aryan dumps her. Mahi slowly starts losing her stardom and name in the film industry. So she hires a new PR and while rebuilding her career finds a new boyfriend in Angad Paul.
But instead of getting easy life becomes more difficult for her. She suffers from bipolar disorder. At the end she becomes a lot desperate and uses a cheap publicity stunt to make her movie a hit.

Love-struck Lukas Podolski wants an Arsenal tattoo after just five dates

Lukas Podolski has only just ended his on-off 17-year relationship with FC Cologne and he’s already plotting a tattoo in honour of his new flame.

But the Germany international isn’t going to rush any decision to mark his affection for new club Arsenal in ink.

Asked whether a Gunners’ tattoo to match his Cologne one was in the offing, he told the Mirror: “Maybe on this one – my left arm – in a few years!

“Cologne meant so much to me because I was there a long time. Maybe I will do the same with Arsenal because I like this club.

“It is a big club and maybe we can do a tattoo. We can speak about this in the next three or four years.”

But after three goals in his first five games, Gooners will be pleased to hear that Podolski is thinking that far ahead.

Roberto Mancini
Winning the Premier League is no mean feat, but Roberto Mancini won a lot of league titles at Inter Milan. He lost his job, however, because the club felt that he had taken them as far as possible.

No-one is saying that Mancini is in trouble yet, but his performances as manager in the Champions League have left a lot to be desired, and his tinkering with defence in the Bernabeu simply didn’t work. Back to the Premier League and City face their hardest test of the season so far, having dropped points in away games at Liverpool and Stoke.

So will Mancini opt for his 3-5-2 formation again, risking wrath if it fails to work? Or will he go for the simple 4-4-2, with Sergio Aguero back to partner Carlos Tevez? Option, options…

Football decency
Liverpool take on Manchester United, one year after Suarez-gate and one week after a certain section of Manchester United fans disgraced themselves and their club with chants during the home victory over Wigan.

Sir Alex has rightly vilified such fans, and promised that his club will do all in their power to make sure Sunday’s game is dealt with decorum. It’s a sad state of affairs when you have to cross your fingers for grown men and women to behave in a decent manner, but that is the stage we have reached. But if Sudnay’s can pass with us commenting merely on great football and respect shown, perhaps we do have a shot at a brighter future.

Southampton
After the club’s defeat to Manchester United, Southampton striker Rickie Lambert stated that with the run of hard games at the start of the season, the club’s season essentially began with a home game against Aston Villa.
Lambert ignored the home game against Wigan, which Southampton lost to a team expected to struggle this time out.
This comment preceded a 6-1 defeat to Arsenal, in which Southampton defended as if they were trying to take part in an ‘It’s a Knockout’ style contest to find the worst Premier League player.
It shows a slight disrespect to an Aston Villa side who looked impressive in their defeat of Swansea last weekend.

Losing to the top sides is expected, but if Southampton lose at home on Saturday, alarm bells will certainly begin to ring.

Nigel Pearson
Pearson has been allowed to formulate the most expensive squad in the division. In the last thirteen months Leicester have signed seventeen players for fees around £17million. Pearson may have only been recruited in November 2011, but after leaving the club in the lurch, the manager owes the club success.

Leicester find themselves as slow starters in the league, despite a midweek win, and face Pearson’s former club Hull this weekend. The East Midlands outfit need improvements, or Pearson may be an early managerial casualty

Birthday Wishes to Kareena kapoor

Today is Birthday of Kareena Kapoor and guess what she is getting on her birthday is her much anticipated Movie “Heroine”

Kareena Kapoor, playing the role of Mahi Arora in the movie has been her “bravest” so far. She’s already got a rare thumbs up from her strongest critic, sister Karishma Kapur, who was reduced to tears by the movie and couldn’t praise Kareena’s performance enough.

The movie is said to be based on real events and borrows from the lives of stars such as Preity Zinta who used to visit theatres playing her films in a burkha, just like Kareena’s character does in Heroine. Kareena Kapoor accepted the role as she felt she could relate to Mahi Arora. “I always take challenges when it comes to performance oriented roles and Heroine isn’t something that I could have missed,” said Kareena Kapoor in an interview.

The movie also stars Arjun Rampal and Randeep Hooda in important roles. “I am excited about the fact that the love story between the characters played by Kareena Kapoor and me is very different. Actors do say this all the time but when you watch the film, you would see that for yourself,” Arjun Rampal told Unitezz.

Heroine has been religiously marketed and promoted across India, with Kareena Kapoor attending various reality shows on TV, road shows and campaigns.
